Whoa. That tea party took a really weird turn.

cris.tina says:
so what are u wearing

LMAO.

My eye appointment went pretty well. My prescription only went up a little bit.
My new glasses are coming next week. Emo glasses didn't work for me. So they look exactly the same, but different. Daria-esque, but not.
Cristina's theory is true. It has to be.
Monday:
I went to the mall with Katrina and Andrew. Visited Donna and then walked to Katrina's to watch movies. I got more Christmas presents: a Super Mario Bros. shirt, a GreenDay hat, jewelry, and a sweater.
Tuesday:
I saw Meet the Fockers with Katrina, Andrew, and Josh. He brought us popcorn. The people sitting beside us were too funny.

I have an optometrist appointment at noon. I hate going there. It's always the same thing: "Amanda, you're eyes are worse. You need new glasses." Then he goes on to tell me what to do to save my eyes. It's impossible stuff too. "No more than an hour on the computer and tv a day. Get more sleep too." Ha! I'm destined for blindness. I'd rather visit the doctor. At least I can leave the place knowing I'm healthy.

Christmas was so different this year, but it was still okay.
My mom hosted Christmas lunch instead and my family came over. Including my cousin's beagle aka Beagley. I got a star lamp from my aunt and that same 70s CD that we enjoyed a little too much from my cousin. We played Athens 2004 then they left. I took my traditional Christmas nap.
Then we went to my aunt's house for the huge Christmas dinner. We watched Big Daddy cause we always do. My cousin-but-not-really-my-cousin brought his girlfriend again. This time no fighting. Dinner came late this year, but there was more food this time. Two whole tables were filled instead of the usual 1. I sang for most of the night. Brother was on guitar, cousin on drums. We were The Asian Stripes. I stole chocolate from the little kids. Watched the old people dance. Me and my little bro grabbed the rest of our presents and ate most of it. Got home around 2.
I didn't go downtown for Boxing Day, but it was still fun. I went with my older brother, my cousin, and his fiancé to watch Steve Zissou's Aquatic Life. Best movie ever, but not really. It was extremely good. So random.

Merry Christmas.
I should be at midnight mass right now stroking the arm of my jacket like the ferret lady. But I'm not. We went to the 9pm mass instead. I saw Rebu (sp?). That kid makes me laugh. Then I made sushi. Me and my brothers watched 'The Hot Chick'. Then filled out the Christmas card for my mom. It took me a whole hour to think of something to write. I ended up drawing Santa stuck in a chimney and tiny message: "Hope you have a great year." Both brothers wrote heartfelt messages. Eurgh...

Yesterday was time well wasted.
I woke up at noon. Ate. MSN. Mom came home early because of bad weather. She was in a terrible mood, so I hid in my room for a bit. Got way too bored. MSN. Wrapped 75% of the presents. I finished the other two's presents. I'm not lying this time. I wrapped them so that I can't add to the monstrosity. Dinner. MSN. Boredom beyond belief. Jigsaw puzzle. I realized once again how much I hate those things. Group therapy session. Caught the ending of 'The Sound of Music'. MSN. More hilarity. I swear I couldn't breathe. Eventually went to bed.
Christmas tomorrow. It still doesn't feel like it. My cousins from the States usually arrive today. We all go to Midnight Mass and fall asleep. Or make fun of the lady with the ferret jacket who happens to sit beside us every year. I lied. We make sure we sit beside her every year. Then off to Ryan's (my cousin) house to watch home movies while eating. Then we go back to my Grandma's house to sleep. Christmas day. We get all our presents and then have lunch. We all hang out till dinner time and then head off to my cousin's house again for dinner with ALL the rest of our family. Drunk Filipinos playing mah-jong and karaoke-ing. Boxing Day. We all go downtown and my cousin's buy me and little brother anything we want. We have sushi for lunch. One last dinner at my grandma's. Then they leave early the next morning. It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
Only this year cousins from the States aren't coming. I found out from a message on my answering machine that my aunt and uncle who now live in my grandma's house left for Detroit this morning. Ryan couldn't get today off, which means he might not be able to get to Brampton in time for mass.
Midnight Mass will suck more than it already does. No home movies. No sleeping over at grandma's. No Christmas lunch. No trip downtown for Boxing day. And to make matters worse my mom is thinking of getting me and my little brother electronic leashes. I think I'm going to cry. But not really.

Haha!
Older brother: It's Christmas eve?!?!
Me: Haha! Yeah.
Little brother: Say whaaaaa!?!?!

Huckle and Finn, I have finished making your presents. I'm going to warn you now that they are truly ugly gifts. Most heinous.
Tiff came over to work on Bio. I was still in my pjs. My super alarm clock did not wake me up. She was almost stranded here.
We went over to Josh's house. NONE of my games worked. I was so disappointed. Watched Kill Bill. Ate pizza. Tried playing Mario Kart. I really hate N64. Nintendo peaked at Super Nintendo.
I think I'm dying of SARS. Not the good kind of SARS either. The one that kills people. Eurgh...

Grad photos.
Went to the library and took some quizzes from the magazines.
Proceeded to the mall for some Christmas shopping.
Then to my house to hang out in the basement.

Holy Moses... Where do I start?
Friday:
I had a little too much fun. "No... Later..."
Saturday:
Chasing Liberty. Donna's birthday party. Unknown stain on my pants. Trivial Pursuit. The laughing Angel.
Sunday:
Half applied to university.
Today:
Maid in Manhattan. Athens 2004. Cleaned rabbit's cage. The other 2 came over. HBF night in. Good laughs. Usual late night Sobey's coffee run. Shopper's. *sniffs* Condoms. Jug City. Home.
I would go into details, but most of you wouldn't get it.

I did not secret blog.

My godbrother is over right now. He's hilarious! "I don't need a map! I know this place like the back of my plawns!" I think he meant "palms". And then he freestyled for me:
My tricks are delusional, but are also destructive
I am a detective with a good perspective
I mow the lawn in nuclear grass
So come over here, so I can kick your ass
There's tears in my eyes from laughing so hard...

I have a shitload of homework to do and a whole bunch of tests to study for and look at me blog away... You're a genius Amanda!
Newton went psycho today. I was walking to my locker in the morning and she forced me into the classroom to cut out Santas. I probably cut about 10 them. All of first period was devoted to decorating our door. Me and Abigail made Emmanuel a pair of earrings that he had to wear the whole day to get a prize of stolen ornaments. I finished my assignment in Data just in time. Calculus was spent decorating my candy grams. Playing cards has become a new tradition at lunch. Some Greek game that is so simple. Cristina never wins. She's always the fourth winner. I had my guitar test. I finished early. Listened to a song that made me giggle. Library for Calculus. Learning Centre for more calculus and candy canes and MUCH. Home by five.

What an eventful day...
I got out of Bio early. Got my quiz back in second period. 100%. Got my calculus test back. 100%. I beat the great Nandini. "Wow! The world must be coming to an end." Cue the lockdown announcement. I have great timing. Menezes freaked out. Me, Gina, and Emmanuel came up with the worst case scenarios. "I hear gunshots!" Oh those kids make me laugh. In the end, we suspected that Eman was the shooter. It just fits. "Psycho killer, qu'est ce que c'est!" HBF is all about togetherness. Lunch proved it. Us three sat in 2 chairs and we serenaded each other. "You make me feel like a natural WOMAN!" I made two new friends in guitar class. Go me! And watched Family Guy. We got kicked out of the school and made our way to Coffee Time. I made Cristina laugh so hard she spit out her coffee. I proved that I really am Cristina's alter-ego. Got a ride to her house and watched Sabrina. Katrina went home. Then we trekked on over to my house and studied for Bio. Katrina joined us. More pictures. And a dance-off. The usual Sobeys. Coffee machine was fixed. "It tastes like hot sugar!" Roamed around for a bit. Helped Cristina with her dilemma.
"I need a report!"
"It's in the far one."
"How 'bout now?"
"OMG! It's getting bigger!"
"Report!"
"It's all broken up now."
"I need a report again."
"It's moved to the other side."
This went on for a good 15 minutes until the mission was accomplished. Well, I'm not quite sure if it was accomplished.
More photos cause we're that cool. Some have orbs! And I'm most positive it's not my lens cause some of them were clear. I swear it's cause they made fun of my evil panda.

Mr. Armstrong with a bow tie... WOW!
Mall today. Tokyo and batman. Am I excited? Most definitely.
A cruel realization tonight.

Tuesday, December 07, 2004

I got a whole bunch of free stuff from Gina today. Magazines, a book, and posters. Quite lovely posters...
First period was actually fun although I did nothing but fetch the samples.
Second was spent studying for Calculus, even though it was our last days in the computer lab.
Third was a test. I'd like to say I kicked ass, but everytime I think I do good on a test, I never do.
Lunch was the usual.
Fourth was spent practicing House of the Rising Sun. Our test is on Wednesday. I can't even play the first line.
Walking home was quite the adventure. Cristina had her umbrella which kept hitting my head. Our feet were soaked after walking for 5 minutes.
PS. Remember to bring $5.

I was actually planning on studying tonight. Only my notes are soaked.

Sunday was spent singing over msn to Cristina and Katrina. "I knew I loved you before I met you... I think I dreamed you into life..." It was hot.
Today was quite okay for a Monday. Debate was hilarious. Well Cristina thought so anyways. She spent a good five minutes laughing at me. I still don't understand why. She came up with the next topic. Can you say leadership skills? And she ate an apple. It was the funniest thing ever.
There's the blog about you, Cristina. Happy?
Oh I forgot to mention lunch. Emmanuel is quite hilarious. He's so brutally honest it makes me laugh.

Friday was interesting.
Bio: Notes and a movie.
Data: The teacher wasn't there so I spent the whole period in the library catching up on all the homework. Me and Nandini told everyone a story about markers.
Calculus: The unit we're doing is a breeze. The lesson was 10 minutes long and the homework took me another 15 minutes to finish. Menezes let us out early to watch Aquinas Idol. I serenaded Katrina with my lovely singing after listing adjectives. "Perfect!" "Splendid!" Oh there was a lot more...
Lunch: Me and Gina went to the chemistry class where she stole Cristina pink chalk. Then we met up with Cristina and went down to the caf, then to library, then back to the caf. Andrew took a bite out of the chalk thinking it was candy.
Guitar: Eurgh... I had to play Jingle Bells. I messed up the end part.
After School: The usual. I walked to Cristina's locker. Eugene came up to us and asked to see the photos from the famine. "OMG! Amanda in a skirt?!?!" Cue Arhia and Cariza running towards Cristina to look at the picture. I had to get away from the madness and headed to the library. I tried throwing my shoe at Cristina but missed.
The walk home was freezing. We were crying. At Cristina's we had bowls of coffee. BOWLS! We flew over to my house after that. It's usually a half-hour walk, but we got there in half the time. We were singing again of course. Katrina came and I played them Jingle Bells on the guitar. More usual HBF stuff. Watched "Girls will be Girls". Then headed to Sobeys for more coffee. We love that place too much. My mom made us more coffee when we got back. I died again at some point.

I've found a new hero. Salad fingers. He's so creepy.

Eurgh...
I have the worst luck ever.
Today I met the nastiest person and nicest person in the world in the span of 2 minutes. I'm so mad right now I'm nearly speechless.
