Katrina and I went to Cristina's yesterday and got attacked by spiderflies. We filmed our stupidness, watched our stupidness filmed on tape, watched Eurotrip (the penises gave us a headache), had much laughter in the basement, deep conversations, rants about prom, stood on rocks in the lake, and sang on the swings.
P.S. The skunk was eating an orange while ordering pizza.

I am an Asteroid.I am a drifter. I go where life leads, which makes me usually a very calm and content sort of person. That or thoroughly apathetic. Usually I keep on doing whatever I'm doing, and it takes something special to make me change my mind. What Video Game Character Are You? |
I am an Origami Hat.I am generally dissatisfied with the products of others, so I make my own; stronger, faster, better. I'm a creative and inventive person. What Sort of Hat Are You? |

Next week doesn't look too promising for me. For one thing it's cut short cause I'm leaving for Vegas early Friday and won't get back till REALLY EARLY Monday. So my summer basically ends on the Thursday. The fact that I only have $1.05 in my pocket doesn't help either. The parentals refuse to give me any more money. They have a really good reason not to, but at least give me the $3.95 I need to make $5. I hope I did the math right. Just about everything worthy doing during the last week of summer requires money to be had and spent. The lack of karaoke is another disappointment but I already ranted about that. I'm sure there's more stuff to add to this list, but I can't function properly when I'm starving, so I'm gonna end this post here.

Katrina, Cristina, Sam, and I saw The VIllage last night. It was a good movie. I jumped twice and laughed at the people who screamed. Fun times...
Friday, August 27, 2004
- the Patrick freak out was hilarious
- Fusca and RJ were there. I hadn't seen them in a really long time.
- I lost in exploding tennis to a drunk James. He was like Jesus cause he had holes in hands and was laying on the floor with his arms spread out like he was on a crucifix.
- the paper fight was fun and so was hanging out in the backyard
- Katrina, James, and I slept over.
- Katrina and Steve played shotglass chess. I couldn't play. I don't think I would have if I could. Just watching was hilarious.
- We watched School of Rock and Beauty and the Beast. I LOVE that movie. I even watched the credits cause the songs are just so great. Everyone else fell asleep at 6. James was droning like I was. He kept telling me to sleep. I watched Polkaroo until I figured out how his tv and VCR worked. It was so trippy cause I managed to turn off the tv, but there was still sound. I spent the next 3 hours half awake and half asleep. People are funny when they sleep. And Steve had a Power Rangers' blanket! It was most awesome!
It was a well spent 15 hours.
The walk to Katrina's to get my bus ticket was hilarious!
Katrina: *in a weird accent (kind of Swedish I believe)* "He's fuuuuuunnny... and cuuuuute... and Aaaaasian." Haha!

The whole process was painless, but it's hard to eat again and my gums are swollen and bleeding. I have to take this ginormous pill for pain. They made me take one right after, but I don't remember doing that either.
Then I watched the Breakfast Club and wasted more time playing solitaire and listening to music.

We bought Steve's present today and wrapped it.
Saw a whole bunch of people at the mall.
I have to go to Christina's later to get my dress.
Endodontist appointment early tomorrow. I am quite scared. They said I'll be half-awake for it. At least I'll be hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh as a kite.
Monday:
- went to VV, Crazy Dave's, and some Liquidation place with Cristina and Katrina
- bought a $2 shirt and it was new
- I ran away from a scooter
- walked to the mall, but had to take a detour
- construction seemed to haunt us the whole day "Please use other sidewalk"
- UNDEROOS!
- the kid with a football... weird...
- I made a kid cry
- witnessed Katrina getting stuck in a neck tie. I laughed at her and did not help.
- saw 'Going the Distance'. Wasn't too good...
- loitered at some bookstore
- "Please sir, I want some more." It was priceless! I hadn't laughed that hard in a while.
- buttocks
- ate at Montana's and me and Cristina drew on the table like little kids
- Cristina wanted a red crayon, but i gave her 8 yellow ones instead
- waitress said I should get an application cause of my writing upside-down skills
- I left surprises in my napkin
Tuesday:
- Katrina came over and we walked to Cristina's
- DDR with the mat
- went to the lake
- me and Cristina walked
- the prostate watch
- the Di Giovanni bakery freak out
- the search for shade
- Kathleen said 'Hi' to us
- "swimming" in the lake *cue: muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa*
- saw 'Without a Paddle'. It was a good movie. It made me laugh.
- waited for our ride at Wendy's, while the other two laughed at me:
- "Shhhhhhhhhwishhhhhhhhhhhhhh Shhhhhhhhalet"
- Katrina ripping my left pant leg and Cristina ripping the other
- me being the new poster child for helmets and stuff - "Wear a helmet, mouth guard, and padding or else you'll end up like this" *with a lisp and end with a smile*
Way too much stuff happened over the past 2 days for me to remember it all.
I have a mosquito bite on my arm.

My aunt is leaving early tomorrow. I'm actually quite sad. And it takes a lot for me to get sad. Could be that it's August. I really dislike the month of August. It's officially been named August Abyss (??? The Abyss of August/The Abyss that is August ???) or something like that. I can't remember.
I gotta stop with this obssessive blogging. It's not healthy.
My colouring phase is officially over. My crayons are tucked away in the box in the crawlspace in the basement. Quite unfortunate since I didn't finish the page I was working on.
I may take up stenciling again. Key word "may". Too many bad experiences:
- AMADA
- and for some odd reason I believed that I had to mirror image it, so it kinda came out like this: ADAMA (only the D was reversed)
- struggling with a glue stick and scissors and when I finally got to use an exacto knife I cut myself
- then used sticker paper for a while and got in serious trouble cause I stole them from my dad
We seriously need to take a trip down to the Village of Value or the Will of Good.
I started gauzing up my wound cause the pus was getting ridiculous. Only problem is every time I look at my hand to see if the gauze is still there it never is. I have to replace it a minimum of 3 times a day. And I never see where the gauze ends up. Scavenger hunt anyone?

Most of the oldies got drunk and the karaoke-ing was just hilarious.
More home videos were brought out. I'm in almost every single one and I'm always making a fool of myself. They're planning to show some of them at my cousin's wedding to embarrass her. Ugh! I'm pretty sure some of those will haunt me in my wedding too...
The karaoke machine awaits my great talent. (Ha!) I'm out!
I coloured again today. I'm almost done. Just need to colour the always present mushrooms. They are seriously on every page! There's 6 on the one I'm doing now and one's a house for a snail.
I also found the greatest advice ever! I think I'll turn it into a poster or something. Yes... I am THAT bored!
a special message to amanda from me:
u said it yourself before that freud said that venting prevents mental illness. so crawl little crab! CRAWL FROM YOUR SHELL AND GET LOST IN THE SANDY BEACH! cough on the sand and fight the snapping turtles for one day you will have your own pineapple under the sea!!!
katrina.
I watched the Butterfly Effect today. It was good.
Now I'm just waiting for my mom to come home so I can eat. I'm starving! But then again, I'm always hungry.

I actually got out of my pjs today and went to the mall.
When I got home I coloured. With crayons. I haven't done that in a while. The bears were picking apples from a bush and not a tree. Creepy...
Then I finally found my yarn and made myself some red and blue shoelaces. I feel like a super hero. Yay.
I also found another glow-in-the-dark star to add to the collection on my wall. I now have two. Go me.
I felt really Asian tonight. Here's what I had for dinner:
Thursday, August 19, 2004
I found a radio that plays 90s Alternative and Grunge! It reminded me of the greatness of Pavement... *sigh* Oh how I love the 90s... and Pavement...
I'll stop now.
Anyways... I actually left the house today. I went to my aunt's house to eat. A whole bunch of family was there and they hadn't seen my aunt since 1989, so all kinds of stories were told again. It still hurts to laugh, so I didn't sit with them. I watched tv instead, but still heard them talk. Apparently when I was little at another family gathering like the one we had today, I showed everyone a picture of Billie Joe Armstrong and said, "One day, I'm gonna rape him!" Haha I don't remember that, but it just proves I was a freak even back then.
Donna drew this a while back. The expression on the face is perfect!
And as promised in my previous post, here is the picture of the scrape on my hand.
I hurt myself yesterday from laughing too hard. The dentist said specifically not to laugh hard and my mouth bled yesterday due to my brother's stupidity. He was on the phone with his friend and accidentally said "Hi mom!" I was rolling on the carpet. My brother had to hide out in his room the whole night cause every time I saw him, I'd start laughing again.
My brother borrowed some game for PS2 called amplitude. It's like another DDR type of game but actually more fun cause it has a better set of songs like Dope Nose - Weezer and The Rock Show - Blink 182. And you don't actually dance, but control the lyrics, the drums, and the guitar. It's most excellent! That's probably gonna kill my boredom for a while.
I also took a picture of the wound on my hand under the Macro setting, which means I can zoom in like crazy! I'll post it later when I upload the pictures.
I also found out last night that the thing that connects my upper lip to my gums is missing. I wonder if it will grow back...
I also think my lip is back to its normal size.

- Read the transcripts of the entire first season of Joan of Arcadia plus a few stories on FanFiction. Can you say obssessed???
- Made a choker, two bracelets, and an Advil pendant. The bracelets are like those hemp bracelets minus the hemp, so basically just a bracelet.
- I downloaded the WB radio!
- Drank a pork chop shake and actually ate some baby food.
- Sleep.
- Watch Bill & Ted's not once, not twice, but three times in a row!!!! Bogus....
- Win all the best times in Minesweeper.
- Watch the Olympics.
My aunt from the Philippines is here. She came Sunday night. It's cool seeing her after 2 years. I'm listening to her talk to my mom and I'm catching up on all the gossip that's going on down there. It sounds like chaos. She is never-ending with stories. Apparently my dad gave my dog, Douglas, to her and tried to give her April (my pug). She didn't want April though caused she pooed too much. Ha! Douglas got super-mean and he's killed 4 cats so far. Awesome, but also not so cool.
I went to the endodontist today. They're gonna stick some medication inside my teeth on the 26th and then a month after will be the root canal. I also got my bridesmaid dress in the mail. It's too big, but that's not a surprise. But I'm extremely happy cause it's green (!!!) and not the icky purplish-pink that it was supposed to be. The note inside said that I HAD to get my hair done for the wedding. Bah! Sam, Donna, and Jess visited today and we talked about dreams. I also found out that I'm not allowed to go camping. I went to the mall with Sam and Donna. They bought Francine's present and I just tagged along since I had nothing better to do. They made me buy the underwear!!! Donna went crazy in the "punk" section of Claie's and Ardene's. It was a shock for me. Then we went back to Donna's place where we had cookie dough ice cream and some really good conversations. Her patio seems to be the place for most excellent talking.
The evening was spent "bowling". Katrina, Steve, Chris, and Jeff were there and we just did some random things like loiter at Wal-Mart, Williams, and Tim Horton's. Our booth was occupied which was bogus! Katrina took a letter "P" from me and the guys were talking about other male stars who were hot. It was creepy and hilarious at the same time. We also saw a skunk. Wow! A lot of things happened in those few hours.
Wednesday:
I didn't eat cause my tummy hurt and Donna was really annoying over msn, which made me angry. I'm hardly ever angry, which scared her and myself. I hate the word "fresh". I walked to Sam's house and we watched the third Matrix movie and Donna came soon after. Then we went to the park to fill up the juice can with sand for Francine's present and Sam did Donna's hair while I wrapped the present. Then we painted our nails.
Francine's party was awesome! I drank on an empty and hurting stomach, which I will never do again.
It's hard to write about really good days cause I know that the blog won't be as good as how the day went, so I'm gonna end it here.
I lied. I'm gonna end with the three dreams I had recently.
1) Everyone I have hung out with at least twice this summer were all running in a field. If that wasn't weird enough, the ground suddenly turned into ice and a fairy skated around me causing the ice to break. I fell into the water, which was suprisingly warm and I saw two other people. I couldn't see who they were though.
2) Steve cut my hair. He looked like he knew what he was doing too. But he cut it too short and I got pissed at him. So we walked to a fridge and inside was some bluish-black hair dye. So he dyed my hair and I was happy again.
3) The crew was having a karaoke night and it was Demes' turn to sing. She was wearing a Jesus costume and she sang a song from 'Grease'.
Having deranged dreams is fun. The last two dreams make sense, but I don't understand the first one.

Spent most of the time talking to cousins and friends from the Philippines. They all wanted pictures. They just wouldn't believe that I look exactly the same way as I did in grade 4, so I had to make an album for them: "Amanda Through the Years" And guess what??? I look the same in all the pictures, except for the one last year when I wore contacts.
Then I introduced Donna to InkLink and she is now addicted.
I went to the mall with Steve and Katrina. We bought Francine a present.
My brother learned to play 'Try Honesty' on the guitar. I shall learn it soon.
I'm bowling with Christina now. After a long hiatus, we are finally back to our normal routine.
Looks like I'm malling again tomorrow. Wednesday better make up for the lack of stuff done on Monday and Tuesday. But I'll probably drag Sam and Donna to the village of value tomorrow (technically today). I have a coupon. Which means I practically get a free shirt!
Monday, August 09, 2004
Saturday:
Donna came over and we played InkLink and made fun of Sam's swing. *cough*Horse!*cough* Sam came over soon after and we sang some songs. Singing is uber fun even if you have no talent whatsoever. Our rendition of 'Only Hope' was most excellent. Then Katrina showed up and we played Risk. I sucked royally while Katrina kicked ass! Only cause she had Africa and Donna on her side. Then Steve came over and we showed all of them the Asian dance. Then we Scrabbled. I lost once again. I had the worst letters too: Q A I O O O E!
We had been listening to Dashboard the whole game and Sabrina couldn't save us so went outside to a park.
- we ran through the forest
- followed a rocky path to a dead end where I found a golf ball
- watched an asian kid hurt himself
- I egged on some kids to do stupid stuff
- steve trying to show off to the asian kid
- hanging out on the plane
- visiting another park where I tripped some little girl
- I went down the slide on my skateboard
- then back to my house for eating (rice anyways)
- we made donna order chinese for us
- it took a whole hour for the food to get to my house WolBerton!
- and while waiting we were attacked by moths, slugs, pill bugs, spiders, and crickets
- Donna freaked out and I actually jumped
- I touched a slug...
- lots of laughter
Sunday:
I went to church today. My church has air conditioning and the priest that I don't like is going to have surgery and will be gone for 10 days! There was also a new choir and the guy who sang had so much emotion. Me and my brothers had to bite our tongues to keep ourselves from laughing. We are so going to hell...
I had tacos for lunch. Five I think. It was most delicious.
I had another 3 for a snack and helped my brother measure our living room for the cig screen tv he is planning to buy. My living room is too small for a tv that large, but I doubt that's going to stop him from buying it.
Then I went to pick Katrina up to go to Cristina's. They were having a BBQ and I was left with the piece of pork surrounded by fat!!! But I got to eat Cristina's piece of beef afterwards anyways. Then she gave us ice cream. And I had 4 slices of bread after that cause I was really hungry. We walked to the corner store, the cemetary, then the park. Parks are the place to be this month! Ouija wasn't cooperating with us. But we got a good laugh after looking at pictures she finally got developed. There was not one single photo where I looked decent. I either scowled at the camera, had food or was about to put food in my mouth, or looked beast-like. The only semi-decent ones had me making a fool of myself. I gotta stop with the weirdness...

Thursday, August 05, 2004
I was the first one to get to Sam's (as usual). I made a new friend. Some little kid on a bike. He was cool. While waiting for the others, I watched Na na lan. The half hour version. Steve was there by that time. It was uber slow, but extremely amusing. She had pizza and Yums and there was a chipmunk in the kitchen and the grandma did not care at all! And we can't forget about Pete's visit to Hawaii. Donna finally arrives and we head off to the basement for some singing and word games. Text Twist. I kicked ass! Andrew finally came and we headed off to the lake.
The scootboard and the skateboard were obviously no match to the efficiency of the bikes, so me and Andrew mooched off of Steve and Sam. I chained my scootboard to Sam's bike, while Steve and Andrew held on to the chain. Free rides are so cool! Except for sharp turns and sudden stops. As proved by Andrew's wipe outs and scrapes. "Faster!" and 2 seconds later you see him flat on the pavement.
We hung out at Pride Rock for a while then decided to move on to Buck's Rock, but got side tracked by a park. A most excellent park.
Way too much happened and I'm lazy:
- Andrew getting stuck in the monkey bars
- everyone hitting their head at least once
- the digger thingy
- our lack of camera
- going down the slide head-first on our backs "*thud* Ow! *thud* Ow!"
- the bird/bug
- Donna: "Wanna lay down in the shade with me?" "Take your sweater off!" (*growl*)
- the dipping sauce incident
- Andrew nearly womanizing himself
- Steve killing the pizza box
- "I want the 'O'! And by 'O' I mean the dot on the 'i'!"
- the bug on the gummies
- more bike/scootboard mooching, but this time it was Donna's turn. She wiped out as much as Andrew did. Maybe even more.
- "fishing"
- my bracelet falling into sea weed infested waters
- Sam's house
- another park for swings
- I learned I can't be like superman
- gladiator swings is fun, yet painful
- back to Sam's
- then my place for Monopoly
- lots of laughter and even tears from the laughter
- me almost hanging up on Katrina
- me being a butler
- Katrina coming over
- DDR!
- Coyote Ugly!
I think that's enough writing for me to refresh my memory when I read this post months from now. If I missed stuff, I'm sure the other 2 versions will cover it.
Wednesday, August 04, 2004
I scootboarded to Sam's house and was the first one there. Like always. A minute later Jessica showed up and Sam straightened her hair. I wasted time on msn. Then Donna came and we sang songs. We sounded pretty good actually.
Then we biked to the movie theatres. I ended up with a brakeless bike that had handlebars that wouldn't stay put. We saw Catwoman. I left my brain at the door and expected nothing of it. It was okay. I wouldn't go see it again EVER nor would I suggest anyone else to go see it. But it wasn't a total waste of my money.
Then we biked back to Sam's house and Jess left. We were just about to leave when Donna decided to be all spontaneous and suggested we go bug Andrew at work. So we did. I got stuck at the door. Met some kid named Dave (I think) and showed off my wonderful scootboarding skills.
I saw a black life jacket. Makes no sense at all. It would be like having a black flare. You'd hear it, but no one would see it. The life jacket would keep you afloat and maybe safe from sharks but it would be hard to see you.
Anyways, we scootboarded back to Sam's cause Donna had to use the pee room. Suprisingly it wasn't me who had to go. Then Donna and me headed back to my place cause she wanted to visit her uncle.
Tuesday, August 03, 2004
I got a wake up call from Donna this morning at 12. I don't like sleeping cause it screws up my whole day and I end up wasting so much time. I had to be at her house by 1:15, so I had to rush eating.
I walk the grueling half hour to her house and Steve was already there. I had my usual water bottle and Sam and Jess came a few minutes later. Then off we went to the mall.
We were supposed to meet Andrew, James, and Eugene at Zellers but we were late of course and suprisingly they were early cause we didn't see them by the patio set. So we went off on our own. Steve bought a tie. We finally met up with them. "Them" being James and Andrew. I left a note in Eugene's pants.
Went back to Donna's. Then walked home. Cleaned Tipsy's cage. Harold and Kumar fell through again. I don't think it was meant to be. But I went to Sam's house for swimming. My shorts had pockets in them and they gathered air, so it was impossible for me to drown. I'm sure Donna will post those pictures.
And now I'm at home. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff, but my eyes are burning and I'm too lazy to remember.
Monday, August 02, 2004
I woke up at 1. I can't even remember the last time I did that. Then Katrina came over. We played video games. Sonic and DDR! I remember the old Sonic... It wasn't even two players... Tails just kinda followed Sonic around.
Then we actually went outside to play with the scooter and the skateboard! It was crazy fun! I'm getting quite better with skateboard and Katrina learned to scooter. Then Steve came over and more biking and scoot boarding as Katrina calls it ensued. I wanted to try mooching off the bike using a chain and I just ended up hurting my finger. But at least I had an excuse to wear a Batman band-aid.
We visited Sam.... Then Christina. She fed us! It was good! I tried this weird mush that was chick peas grinded, but it doesn't taste like chick peas. It's impossible to explain it. It wasn't bad or good. In between. So I had to try it three times. And I will most probably try that stuff again if it was placed in front me.
Then we walked to Cristina's to get Katrina's bike. Mission unsuccessful.
We headed towards Ching and met up with Andrew.
Then we went to Katrina's for a pit stop to grab the "pencil" to "draw the trees" with. But we had no lighter. I had grape juice. Steve went home to drop off his bike and met up with us after. Then off to Ching we went. We watched chickens and a pheasant. Then went to the area with the rides and finally decided on buying 40 tickets. We couldn't go on the ferris wheel cause we were an odd number, so we went on this tea cup wannabe ride cause you could seat 3. Katrina and Steve in one "cup" and Christina, me, and Andrew in another. I have never been so squished in my life. I could not breathe! And Christina's head hit mine. But it was fun nonetheless cause we ended up going on the same ride right after. The carney in charge of the ride was creepy... Christina sat in the end the second time and I kept elbowing her.
I saw Chris P. and David. I kept thinking he was some little kid because of the way we kept making fun of her. But he doesn't look young at all. I guess we just had to pick on someone and it ended up being her. He was all over some girl...
Then we went to go see Fefe Dobson! She's really good live! But we couldn't stay the whole show or see the fireworks. We left early cause we had to walk home. It was the scariest walk of my life. We were so paranoid that we took the handle part of the scooter as a weapon.

I slept again last night at around 1 and woke up around noon. Then I churched and had lunch. I fell asleep around 3. Woke up around 5 and went to my aunt's house. I got my hair trimmed. She has a hammock, so I fell asleep on that too and woke up for dinner.
She has a karaoke machine and it's awesome to the max! And what's even better is that she won't mind me borrowing it! It has the most excellent songs on it too:
Jennifer Paige - Crush (haha!)
Nirvana - All Apologies
Green Day - Basket Case, Longview, and When I Come Around
Radiohead - Creep
The Cure - Boys Don't Cry
A Ha - Take On Me
Pearl Jam - Jeremy and Alive
A lot more songs but I can't remember...
Just give me a date and we'll finally have the karaoke night we've all been waiting for.
